The Welding program emphasizes the development of real, hands-on welding, layout and fitting skills. The students will receive extensive exposure to welding practices and principles so they can better understand not only how welding processes work, but also why certain welding processes are used.

The Welding program emphasizes the development of real, hands-on welding, layout and fitting skills. The students will receive extensive exposure to welding practices and principles so they can better understand not only how welding processes work, but also why certain welding processes are used.
The students learn to prepare and weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum parts according to various procedures. They also learn to modify and repair assemblies and learn to interpret plans.
Training includes:
- Quality control
- Operation of both basic and specialized equipment
- Blueprint reading
- Canadian Welding Bureau certification
