Loans & Bursaries

LOANS & BURSARIES

Students registered in a full-time vocational education course are now eligible to apply for the Ministry of Education, Leisure & Sport’s Loans and Bursaries program. To be eligible for this program, a student must:

  • be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident within the meaning of the Immigration Act and be a resident of Quebec,
  • not have sufficient financial resources,
  • be admitted to an educational institution designated by the Ministry and pursuing a recognized full‑time study program (D.V.S.)

For those students who are eligible, the financial aid will be evaluated based on income and contributions of the student and his or her parents or spouse, whichever is the case. The financial aid awarded will be in the form of a loan first and then, if the student’s financial situation warrants it, a bursary.
